Steve Waldron has over 30 years of leadership, organizational structure, and strategic planning experience in Higher Education and the U.S. Marines. This combination of knowledge and experience gives him a unique perspective on the talent and organizational needs in Higher Education.
Prior to joining EFL Associates, Waldron served as the Campus President & Chief Operating Officer of Grantham University in Lenexa, Kansas. While at Grantham, he had full P&L authority and oversaw all operational aspects of the school of 20,000 students. Prior to his role of Campus President & Chief Operating Officer, he served as Chief Enrollment officer and Vice President of Student Advising. Previously, Steve spent over 27 years with the United States Marine Corps retiring as a colonel.
Steve’s military career was distinguished and a bit eclectic. Much of his early service was tied to various tours as a criminal defense attorney, prosecutor and Special Assistant, U.S. Attorney. Later in his career, he transitioned to command and staff roles including wartime deployments in the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan. Throughout his Marine Corps tenure, Steve amassed experience in leadership, training, recruitment, and command.
Waldron is active in the community having served as a Cub Scout leader, military transition mentor and as a member of the Board of Governors of the Marine Corps Association.
