Ted Toburen’s combination of advisory expertise, broad cultural experience, and extensive life sciences corporate tenure equip him to truly understand an organization, from company culture to business model, before searching for its next leader or key management position. As Managing Director of Life Sciences, he leads searches across animal health and human health companies for C-Suite and director-level roles.
Before joining EFL Associates, Toburen most recently served as Principal and Founder at T-Squared Consulting, where he provided expert strategic advice and analysis in the animal health and nutrition field. Prior to T-Squared, he spent several years with Sanofi Animal Health in general management roles in the Asia Pacific region, as well as with Pharmacia & Upjohn as head of the animal health division in Japan, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. He also held positions with Eli Lilly/Elanco, Novus International, and the start-up organization, Pulse NeedleFree Systems.
Toburen fine-tuned his consultative skills working as an independent consultant with pharmaceutical, market research, and financial enterprises, advising on strategy, best business practices, divestments, resource optimization, mergers and acquisitions.
Industry expertise in the life sciences comes natural to Toburen because of his body of work. Additionally, his broad consultative background has exposed him to a multitude of business cultures and environments throughout his career so he is able to help most any organization with executive search needs.
Toburen maintains his ties to Colorado State University through membership in the CSU Rams Former Athletes Association, and he is an active member of the United States Navy League.
