Tom Carignan’s unique perspective honed in his years as a senior executive within respected financial institutions gives him deep knowledge and perspective on talent needs and organizational challenges to both public and private companies gained during a 16 year career in financial services.
Before joining EFL Associates, Carignan most recently served as the Senior Vice President – Director of Client Relationship Management at UMB Bank where he was responsible for leading the Client Relationship Management function, working with global financial services firms providing payment, settlement and custom banking solutions. Prior to his role as Senior Vice President, Carignan served in many other capacities at UMB in a sales management capacity. He served as the Chair of the Inclusion Council where he played a key role in the UMB diversity initiative.
Carignan originally fine-tuned his financial acumen working in progressively higher roles first at Commerce Bank, spending time in a leadership training program and progressing to a banking center manager. He joined UMB in 2006 as the Vice President – District Sales manager and was promoted through the company. Industry expertise in financial services, financial technology, payments and private equity come natural to Carignan because of his body of work.
Carignan is the Vice Chairman of the Board for the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City and former Chairman of the Board of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City. He is a graduate of Leadership Kansas as well as Leadership Lawrence (KS).
