Angela (Angie) M. Salmon joined EFL Associates in March 2004 as Manager of Client Services. In January of 2005, she was promoted to the role of Vice President and is responsible for all aspects of the executive search process including working with clients to fully understand the organization and executive recruiting needs, developing a search strategy, candidate sourcing, client management, candidate evaluation and project closing.
Salmon joins EFL Associates after nearly two years as a Business Consultant and Team Lead for Campus Recruiting with Cerner Corporation. With more than 1,500 clients worldwide, Cerner is the leading supplier of healthcare information technology. As part of Cerner’s fast-track “Next Generation Program,” Salmon gained broad experience by rotating through various positions within the company. As a Business Consultant, she worked within the consulting organizations to create, analyze and publish reports focused primarily on associate utilization and productivity. She also worked closely with the executive leadership within Cerner to create strategic associate deployment and development strategies. In her position as Team Lead for Campus Recruiting, Salmon managed Cerner’s campus recruiting efforts at approximately 30 universities nationwide including university relations, candidate sourcing, recruiting, offer negotiation and final hiring.
Salmon’s career began as a Business Consultant with Arthur Andersen, a former “Big Five” accounting firm known for providing traditional auditing, internal audit, and tax process oversight and outsourcing services; legal services; and human resources and risk-consulting services. As a part of the “Strategy, Organization and People” group in Andersen’s consulting practice, Salmon worked with clients on a number of organizational redesign issues including employee development, communication guidelines and change enablement strategies.
Since Salmon joined EFL Associates, she has worked with a number of corporate and not-for-profit leaders on various executive search assignments and has completed projects ranging from President/CEO positions to director-level roles. She believes it is important to form a close partnership with clients in order to effectively represent the client in the marketplace and recruit individuals who not only possess the required background, competencies and experience but “fit” the organization’s culture, as well.
Salmon was a NCAA Division I scholarship and letter winner for volleyball and track and field.
Maintaining her ties to athletics, Salmon served as volunteer assistant coach for the UMKC volleyball team. She has also served as a volunteer for Special Olympics Track and Field and for the Women’s Intersport Network for Kansas City sports clinics.
