Peter K. Lemke has been an executive search consultant since 1979, when he joined Fleming Associates as Vice President-Managing Partner of the Kansas City office. He was a co-founder and served as Executive Vice President of EFL Associates from 1982 until 1986, when he was named President and Chief Executive Officer. On December 1, 2000, Lemke became Chairman/CEO. As such, he continues to be involved with management issues of EFL Associates and performs senior-level search engagements.
Lemke began his career as a Staff Accountant with United Airlines, subsequently serving as an Employment Representative, a Staff Personnel Generalist, and an Area Personnel Manager over a period of eight years. He then joined Hallmark Cards and for seven years held significant recruiting assignments, including Manager of Corporate Employment. He was responsible for the management of a staff of 26 persons and the annualized employment of more than 1,000 individuals.
Among his many community activities, Lemke served as: Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City; Chairman of the Enterprise Center of Johnson County; and Board Member of John Knox Village, the American Royal Association, the Johnson County Community College Foundation, the Kansas City Area Development Council (KCADC) and the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City.
He has completed client engagements in a broad range of industries and a large number of functional disciplines over the years with special emphasis in general management and senior-officer assignments for the client base he serves.
